Disabled woman says uncle raped her

JERANTUT A disabled woman, who was allegedly raped by her 79-year-old uncle, gave birth to a baby at Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Hospital in Temerloh.

The 21-year-old victim, a slow learner from Kampung Bukit Genting here, had earlier complained of stomach pain.

Her mother took her to the hospital at 9am last Monday for a check-up.

Her mother was shocked when informed that her daughter was pregnant and she gave birth later that day. 

The victim claimed that she was raped by her uncle.

Her mother lodged a report and police have detained the man.

District police chief Superintendent Jamaludin Abdul Rahman said they were still investigating the case.

He said both the victim and baby were in stable condition.
